Future First: Learning History to End Racism

Children’s Services Council of Broward County, FL – In this episode of Future First, Focus on Broward’s Children, David Watkins, Director of Equity and Diversity Programs at Broward County Public Schools; Shaba Kojo, President of Shoolay Inc and a proponent of African-centered academics; and Lorraine Mizel, a scion of a prominent African American family in Broward, join The Children’s Services Council of Broward County Florida, President/CEO, Cindy Arenberg Seltzer and a number of student participants of the Racial Equity Institute summer workshop to discuss the importance of learning and teaching history as a means of dismantling racism.
